Configure
Meta Commander to open picture with IrfanView image viewer.
However, many of us still deem standart
Paintor Imaging to be rather inconvenient as a image viewer tool. That is the reason for many advanced PC users switch to Irfan View - one of the most popular viewers worldwide.
Meta Commander Pro allows you find your pictures on your disks and launch IrfanView image viewer with just one mouse click.
To configure Meta Commander first select
"Options" menu item. Switch to "Virtual folder manager" tab.
Pic 1. Double click "
Pictures" item on the "Virtual folders" list box.
Pic 2. In the open window select path to the
i_view32.exe file. Default path is "C:\Program Files\IrfanView\i_view32.exe". That is all.
Next time you need to open picture (image or photo) with IrfanView simple
right click on the Desktop and in the context menu select the "My computer" option. All available disks will be shown as the menu items.
Pic.3 Simple right click on the Desktop to open context menu.
Choosing a disk opens a submenu containing folders located on that disk. In
its turn, choosing one of the folders displays its subfolders as submenu
entries. Proceeding in such a successive manner you will get to the target
directory.
Pic 4. Select "Pictures" virtual foldfer and right click on the image file item.
It was as simple as that without this annoying double-click. We are in the target folder. The next step is select "Pictures" virtual folder. In this folder you can see all pictures sorted by file name.
Last you need to do
right click on the image file item. This will open selected picture with IrfanView viewer.
Whole operation takes just a few seconds to complete. The effect is as more considerable as more complicated folders tree structure is operated.
